Cost Components

How a Quotation Is Built

The final quotation depends on the services used. Each cost item should be confirmed before payment.

¥

Product Cost

The confirmed supplier price for the agreed model, quantity, colour, size, quality and packaging.

Sourcing or Handling Fee

Supplier checking, quotation comparison, order communication and purchasing coordination.

Inspection & Consolidation

Warehouse receiving, visible checks, photos, repacking, carton marks and combining suppliers.

Shipping & Delivery

Air or sea freight, clearance, destination handling, pickup or local delivery as stated in the quote.

What Changes the Fee

Why Two Orders May Have Different Charges

A simple single-supplier order is different from a mixed order involving many suppliers, custom packaging and detailed inspection.

1

Number of Suppliers

More suppliers usually require more communication, local deliveries, receiving records and consolidation work.

2

Product Complexity

Technical products, many variants, custom logo or special packaging require more confirmation.

3

Inspection Scope

Photo checks, standard sampling, full inspection and third-party testing have different costs.

4

Order Size

Small trial orders and large wholesale orders may use different handling and purchasing arrangements.

5

Packing Requirements

Repacking, wooden crates, compression, labels and custom carton marks affect the final charge.

6

Shipping Method

Air, sea, sensitive-goods routes, destination city, weight and volume all influence logistics cost.

What You Should See Before Payment

A professional quotation should separate the main cost items and clearly state what is included.

Small Trial Orders

Why Small Orders Can Cost More Per Unit

A small order still requires supplier communication, local delivery, warehouse handling, inspection and international shipping. These fixed tasks are divided across fewer products.

For low-volume orders, air freight and multiple supplier deliveries can make the landed cost significantly higher than the product price alone.

Bulk Orders

Why Bulk Orders Need More Control

Larger orders may have a better unit price, but they also require clearer specifications, stronger inspection, packing confirmation and shipping planning.

  • Confirm samples or specifications
  • Agree production and inspection stages
  • Check carton weight and volume
  • Confirm payment stages and shipment release

Frequently Asked Questions

Fee and Payment Questions

Do you charge a fixed sourcing percentage?

Not necessarily. The fee depends on the product, order size, number of suppliers and work required. The applicable method should be shown in the quotation.

Is shipping included in the product price?

Only when the quotation clearly states that shipping is included. Product cost and shipping should normally be shown separately for clarity.

Why does the final freight charge change?

The final charge may change when actual weight, carton dimensions, product type or route conditions differ from the original estimate.

Can I use my own supplier?

Yes. Toppingdom can provide purchasing, inspection, consolidation or shipping support for a buyer-selected supplier, subject to the agreed service scope.

Are inspection and storage always included?

No. They are included only when listed in the quotation. Storage beyond the agreed free period may also create additional charges.

When should I pay the balance?

The payment stage depends on the order agreement. Confirm the deposit, production balance, inspection approval and shipment-release terms before payment.
