Product descriptions may also use trade terminology that does not translate clearly into English.

The best source depends on the product and order. A factory is not automatically cheaper for a small quantity, and an online wholesaler is not automatically less reliable. The buyer should compare total landed cost, MOQ, quality, lead time and repeat-order stability.

Use samples or trial orders where practical
For a new supplier, a sensitive product or an unfamiliar quality level, a sample or manageable trial order can provide useful information before a large commitment. A trial order still needs clear specifications because a sample does not automatically guarantee that mass production will be identical.
China Warehouse Inspection before Shipping
A standard visual inspection can check count, model, colour, size, visible condition, logo, packaging and carton marks. Photos or videos may be shared to help the buyer confirm what was received. However, visual inspection is not laboratory testing. Electrical performance, chemical composition, load rating, certification and hidden internal defects require appropriate technical testing when relevant.
The inspection scope should be agreed before the goods arrive. A buyer who needs every piece checked has a different requirement from a buyer who only needs carton count and packaging confirmation. More detailed inspection normally requires more time and may involve additional cost.

Nigerian wholesalers often buy several product categories from different Chinese suppliers. Sending each order separately can increase handling and freight complexity. Consolidation allows suitable goods to be delivered to one warehouse, recorded, checked and combined for shipment.
Consolidation is useful, but cargo should not be compressed or repacked without considering product protection. Fragile goods, liquids, batteries, branded products and restricted cargo may require separate handling or a different shipping channel.
Air and Sea Shipping to Nigeria
Air freight is usually considered for smaller, urgent or higher-value cargo. Sea freight is generally more practical for heavier, larger and regular wholesale orders. The cheapest shipping rate is not always the best decision: chargeable weight, CBM, packing, destination, clearance conditions and cargo restrictions all affect landed cost.
Before choosing a method, confirm the packed weight and carton dimensions. Supplier estimates are useful for planning but the final freight quotation should be based on actual cargo measurements where possible.
